From May 13-15, 2023, the Faculty of Political Science, <\/a>PSU, in collaboration with the Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, orgnized a project to observe the Thai general election 2023, aiming to study and compare the electoral systems of Thailand and Indonesia. Lecturers and students from both institutions conducted fieldwork to interview political party candidates, student representatives, and the general public in Mueang District, Pattani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, students from the Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Airlangga, presented their lessons learned from the Thai election on the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Democracy at a Crossroads: Assessing Thailand\u2019s military influence in the Hat Yai Legislative Election 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Women\u2019s issues in the 2023 General Election of Thailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Youth and Politics: College students\u2019 involvement in Thailand\u2019s 2023 General Election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Rise of Populism during the election: A comparative analysis of Thailand and Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
