On May 29, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anwar Koma, Head of the Turkish Studies Center at the Faculty of Political Science, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), visited the Office of Cooperation and International Relations and Affairs at the University of Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor, Indonesia. The visit aimed to share experiences in leading an academic center dedicated to Türkiye-related studies and to explore pathways for international collaboration between Thailand and Indonesia. Dr. Anwar was warmly welcomed by Dr. Eko Nur Cahyo, Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and International Academic Relations; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Musa Harahap, Coordinator of the International Class Program; Ustaz Usamah Abdurrahman; Ustaz Muhsin Abdul Hadi; and members of the bureau. Strengthening Academic Collaboration Between PSU’s Turkish Studies Center, Izmir Katip Celebi University (IKCU), and the Izmir International Students Association

Izmir, Türkiye— On April 30, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anwar Koma, the head of the Turkish Studies Center at the Faculty of Political Science, Prince of Songkla University, had the honor of visiting Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cevik, Director of the İzmir Uluslararası Öğrenci Derneği (Izmir International Students Association) and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Izmir Katip Celebi University (IKCU). Their discussions focused on exciting opportunities for collaboration, including a student exchange program and a joint academic conference in the upcoming year. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cevik is working closely with the coordinator at Imam Hatip Lisesi School to allocate scholarships for Thai students, ensuring greater access to quality education. PSU’s Turkish Studies Center Explores Academic Collaboration with Dokuz Eylul University

On April 30, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anwar Koma, Head of the Turkish Studies Center at Prince of Songkla University (#PSU), visited the International Academic Relations Office at Dokuz Eylul University (#DEU) in Izmir to explore opportunities for academic collaboration between the two institutions. The meeting, held at the Rector’s Building of DEU, was attended by 16 professors and faculty members from a wide range of disciplines, including medical science, science, marine science, engineering, economics, public administration, business administration, political science, and social science. During the discussions, Dr. Anwar extended an invitation to DEU to participate in PSU’s upcoming Global Citizenship Forum, which will include student exchange and cross-cultural engagement activities and will be organized by the Faculty of Political Science, Prince of Songkla University. Academic exchange was also a key focus, with both parties expressing interest in initiating joint research project
